Projects

Wins, failures,
lessons.

Every project has three columns. Not polished; as it was. I wouldn't trust an entrepreneur's page that doesn't list its failures either.

Universitev

2014 — on hold On hold

One platform for everything a university student needs, from housing to lecture notes, from roommates to job listings. It began with a notebook on campus and grew into a roommate-matching algorithm developed with mathematics professors.

Wins

  • 120,000 user registrations without a single ad
  • First official company in Sakarya: Universitev Bilgi Teknolojileri ve Pazarlama A.Ş. (2014)
  • A first team built in a home office with zero capital

Failures

  • The scope was too wide; it could not launch in one go
  • The pace we wanted was not reached in the two-year focus period; development was halted

Lessons learned

  • When the side business becomes the main business, the main project pays the price
  • Everything we know today came from the trial and error here
universitev.com

ifeelcode

— transferred Transferred

The software and marketing brand created to fund Universitev. From simple websites for agencies to a team of 37, design and video production.

Wins

  • Reached, in a few years, the client count that the city's oldest firms built over decades
  • The team grew from 3–4 partners to 37 people
  • Design and video production were added alongside software

Failures

  • Client work pulled us away from Universitev, the reason we had started

Lessons learned

  • Never forget why you came together; if necessary, transfer the business that outgrew the purpose

Partnerfy
